The Med-Aire Low Air Loss Alternating Pressure Mattress Replacement System by Drive Medical is designed to be used in the prevention, treatment and management of Pressure Ulcers. The mattress operates in an alternating pressure mode and is ideal for use in hospitals, nursing homes and home care. This mattress has 20 air bladders, 9 with laser hose to achieve low air loss function helping to keep the patient cool and speed recovery. The 8″ cells are constructed with Nylon/TPU that is soft and lightweight, providing comfort to all users. I think there should be a credit for my excess as a good and faithful customer Review is that I have only had this mattress up for little over one week and now find that the company, Amazon I purchased it from has it on sale for $100 less. I purchased it Nov. 8. I think there should be a credit for my excess as a good and faithful customer? The mattress seems to be working as designed, but, my husbands bed sore is worse since switching out his mattress. I hope this is just a coincidence and that it will improve with this mattress. Mattress doesn’t really give instructions…

awesome so far So far so good,I had the drive medical purple mattress, loved it worked perfectly, after 11+ month s the pump went, lucky for me Amazon replaced it,got the new one and four months later that pump went, 300+ dollars is alot of money.I am a paraplegic and have severe muscle wasting, could not get the second one under warranty, so I went with this unit,650 bucks!!! Can only hope for the best, money is hard to come by, so I will update this in the future to tell how bed is holding up…

Very comfortable and durable. This is very comfortable and definitely prevents bedsores. At first the air pump was started running almost constantly which overinflated the mattress. I was able to talk to the company by telephone and they promptly sent me a replacement pump. That took care of the problem.
