Poor plug design tears up your feet! I love the feeling of warmth this gives, and I love that it stays put on the bed no matter how much I toss and turn, in comparison to a heated blanket that I usually end up tossing off the edge by morning. It is very powerful, and only the lowest setting is right for me. But, in the FULL sized model at least, there’s a design problem that drives me absolutely crazy: The plug.

Great Heated Mattress Pad If you have never had a heated mattress pad, don’t hesitate to buy one. They are awesome. This is our second pad (we received our first as a gift several years ago and it recently died). This new pad is softer than our old pad and you cannot feel the wires. It heats up more quickly than our old pad. It also has better controls (numbered versus dial without numbers) to help you choose the right setting for you.

Has a few drawbacks I’ve always used electric blankets so, when my Sunbeam gave up the ghost, I went searching for a replacement. Let me preface this with the disclaimer that I am very hard on electric blankets. Therefore, they require replacement on a regular basis. I like a bedspread or quilt on my bed & this configuration is a no-no in the electric blanket world as one is not supposed to have anything on top of them. Well, I do so I live with the side-effect of having to replace them every couple of years…
